I have been teaching piano to children and adults since 1989. I also teach ukulele, composition/songwriting, and theory. My studio is in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

I believe that everyone has  the potential to make beautiful music. Because each student is a unique learner, my teaching approach caters to individual strengths and challenges.

I use a combination of method books as well as traditional classical repertoire. I also write customized study pieces for and with my students. For those who are interested, lessons can include popular songs, composition, improvisation and theory.

My students range in age from 4-60 years!

I call my recitals “parties” because I know that performance anxiety can be very difficult to feel and manage. I approach recitals as joyful expressions of growth, not as competitions. It is impossible to give comparative values to individual growth, personality, or effort. My studio music parties manifest this accepting frame of mind. There are endless ways to excel in music. Each of my students is a hero on their own musical odyssey!
